Smart snacks for kids

Four snacks that I love, I think they’re so much fun and a great treat for your kids

Confetti Yogurt Pops

Nutrition per pop: 99 calories / 1g fat 


   twocups of fat free vanilla yogurt

one cup of assorted berries- raspberries, blueberries, blackberries and strawberries

 pretzel rods, or 10 baked snack stick crackers


In a large bowl gently stir together the yogurt and fruit. Spoon into 4 once ice pop molds, cover them with foil, cut a small hole into the foil and insert a pretzel or the snack stick. Freeze until firm. Remove foil and mold before serving

Stores for about 1 month. Makes 6 pops


Starry chocolate fruit

Nutrition per serving: 134 calories / 8g fat 


Whatever kind of fruit you want


Just set out the melted chocolate dip and dip half of each fruit in it, put aside for a few minutes for chocolate to set


Strawberry Crepes

Filled with peanut butter and chopped strawberries, these are an excellent source of protein

Nutrition per serving: 125 calories / 9g fat


 Nine inch store-bought crepe

 Two tablespoons of peanut butter

A cup of chopped strawberries


Spread crepes with peanut butter and sprinkle with strawberries. Roll up crepe, trim off ends, and cut long into 1 inch slice.


Blueberry Banana Stacks

Mini popcorn cakes are the perfect base for these tiny towers of strawberry cream cheese, bananas, and blueberries

Nutrition per serving: 114 calories / 6g fat



Six mini chocolate, caramel, or berry-flavored popcorn cakes

One to Two tablespoons strawberry flavored cream cheese

 Six banana slices

Six fresh blueberries


Spread cakes with cream cheese and top with banana slices, more cream cheese and top it with a blueberry
